about our dad and papa
Our dad was a very special dad. His first priority was his family. He was always so full of joy and happiness. Even when he was sick or in pain he would never complain or expect anyone to feel sorry for him. We all love him and miss him very much. It is still hard to believe sometimes that he is gone. He loved to go out on the boat with our mom. He would take his grandkids- Michael(m.j.) and Big Mel along, too. They loved to fish with their papa. They got their very first fishing trip on tape (m.j. and papa) and it was something one would never forget. He also enjoyed working on his race car, fishing, hunting, bowling, playing cards and visiting with friends and his family. I wish that I can answer some of the questions that my kids ask me about my dad. Michael asks when he can see his papa again and why his papa can see him, but he can't see his papa, and he still cries alot. Melvin still cries alot too, and tried to give me his old wrinkled up dollar if I can let him see his papa again. Us kids know that we will all be togethor someday and how, but the little ones don't understand. we all love you very much dad. Baby Mike and Mercedes say hi, and that they love you and always will.
